    Museu del Ciment Asland de Castellar de n’Hug (Asland Cement Museum)

    Nowadays the Museu del Ciment (Cement Museum) is the former Asland cement factory located in Castellar de n'Hug. It was open from 1904 until 1975.


    Església romànica de Sant Vicenç de Rus. Castellar de n'Hug (The Romanesque Church of Sant Vincenç de Rus) 

    The Romanesque and Lombard church, documented since the end of the X century, is characterized by its arches and a copy of the mural paintings in the apse inside. The original paintings are in the Diocesan Museum of Solsona.


    Tren del Ciment. La Pobla de Lillet

    It is a line that used to join the former Asland cement factory in Castellar de n'Hug with Guardiola de Berguedà.

    The route (3.5 km) stops at four stations: La Pobla de Lillet, la Pobla Centre, Jardins Artigas and Museu del Ciment-Castellar de n'Hug.


    Monestir de Santa Maria de Lillet. La Pobla de Lillet (Monastery of Santa Maria de Lillet) 

    The Romanesque monastery of Santa Maria de Lillet, located in Alt Berguedà, is traced by the Latin cross plant.


    Monestir de Sant Llorenç. Guardiola de Berguedà (Monastery of Sant Llorenç) 

    The magnificent church of Saint Lawrence Monastery, near Bagà, has a gallery in the nave. Under the gallery there is a beautiful space that looks like a crypt. The Monastery was constructed between X and XII.


    Centre Medieval i dels càtars. Bagà (Centre for Medieval and Cathar) 

    In the old Palace of Pinós, in Bagà, there is a permanent exhibition about the Cathars and the medieval town. Through its halls, different characters show the rich past of the historical capital of Alt Berguedà.


    Visita audioguiada a l’església de Sant Jaume de Frontanyà (Audio guide visit in the Church of Sant Jaume de Frontanyà)

    Sant Jaume de Frontanyà church, built around 1070, is considered the Romanesque cathedral of Berguedà. It is one of the most outstanding examples of Catalan Lombard Romanesque architecture, thanks to the simplicity of the construction and its functional precision.


    Església romànica de Sant Quirze de Pedret. Cercs (Romanesque Church of Sant Quirze de Pedret)

    In the early medieval period this church was not considered a parish. However, the church, thanks to faithful, it was extended and embellish during X, XI and XIII, when it became a parish.


    Museu de l’art del bolet de Montmajor (Mushroom Art Museum of Montmajor)

    This museum is located in the former Montmajor City Hall. It has a collection of mushrooms consisting of more than five hundred copies classified by type. Visitors can find out all information related with their main characteristics.


    Torre de l’Amo de Viladomiu Nou. Gironella (The Tower of the Landlord of Viladomiu Nou)

    During this visit you can discover how lived, one hundred years ago, the Landlords of the textile colonies of the Llobregat River.


    Museu de la colònia Vidal de Puig-reig (Vidal Colony Museum)

    Visitors can discover how people used to live and work in a textile colony in the early twentieth century. They can be part of a historical moment, very important for the contemporary history and the industrialization.



    Museu del Pastor. Castellar de n’Hug (The Shepherd’s Museum)

    The Museu del Pastor (Shepherd’s Museum) offers an overview of the past, present and future of the shepherds’ job, a job with a large tradition for so many families from Castellar de n’Hug. Every summer it is organized an International Competition of Shepherd’s Dog (Competició de Gossos d’Atura).


    Jardins Artigas. La Pobla de Lillet (Artigas Gardens) 

    Jardins Artigas (Artigas Gardens) are naturalist in style with an emphasis on stone, water and vegetation, and were designed at the beginning of the 20th century by architect Antoni Gaudí.

    The gazebo, the arched bridge, the waterfall, the grotto, the animal statuary and the murmur of water accompany you on your way through this beautifully decorated corner of nature.

    Mina de petroli de Riutort. Guardiola de Berguedà (The Riutort oil mine) 

    The French Jules León Clavier i Gosselet and Philippe Petit Brice created and mined the Riutort oil mine, through their company “Compañía Minera de Riutort”, created in 1906. That is the reason why this mine is known as the “French mine”.


    Sala de pintures de Prinós. Bagà (Hall of paintings of the Pinós’ Palace) 

    Visit the Pinós i Còdol Palace main floor, located in Bagà, to know how people lived in a palace during the modern era. The five rooms, decorated with wall paintings from the XVII, XVIII and XIX, show the visitors the inside of a wealthy residence. Visitors will discover its secrets.


    Església romànica de Sant Sadurní de Rotgers. Borredà (Romanesque Church of Sant Sadurní de Rotgers)

    This church was built between the 11th and 12th centuries. It decoration is characteristic from the first Romanesque period, with blind arcades and pilaster strips. A bell tower rises over the nave.

    Museu de les Mines de Cercs (Cercs Mines Museum)

    The Museum is dedicated to coal. It explains the connection between the fossil fuel and the geological, economic and human environment.


    Església visigòtica-preromànica de Sant Vicenç d’Obiols (Visigoth-Romanesque Church of Sant Vicenç d’Obiols)

    The church of Sant Vicenç d’Obiols has pre-Romanesque and Romanesque elements. The church was transferred to Santa Maria de Ripoll by the Count Wilfred the Hairy.


    Fuives. Olvan 

    In Fuives (Berguedà) you can visit the Nucli Zoològic de Fuives (Zoological Fuives Centre), with more than 150 specimens of thoroughbred donkeys.

    For more than 30 years, its owner, Joan Gassó, realized that the Catalan donkey was endangered and began a search of the few specimens living in the area. Today there is a large population of animals to ensure the survival of the race.


    Centre d’interpretació de l’església de Cal Pons. Puig-reig (Interpretation centre of the Church of Cal Pons)

    The Interpretation Centre of the Church of Cal Pons aims to show the role played by the Church in the consolidation of the industrial colony system in Catalonia.
